Cocinar y STEM tienen mucho en com\u00fan. Una cocina no es diferente a un laboratorio de ciencias donde puede explorar e investigar todo tipo de temas STEM como medidas, patrones, qu\u00edmica, causa y efecto, \u00a1y mucho m\u00e1s!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b> Preguntas (y respuestas) en la cocina<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STEM se trata de observar, descubrir y cuestionar el mundo que nos rodea y una cocina es un gran lugar para hacer preguntas. Los ni\u00f1os le har\u00e1n muchas preguntas mientras cocina. Aqu\u00ed hay algunas preguntas que puede haber escuchado en la cocina:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 una manzana se vuelve marr\u00f3n despu\u00e9s de cortarla?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 tenemos que secar alimentos, como frutas y pastas, para almacenarlos?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo revientan las palomitas de ma\u00edz?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 la lechuga se marchita despu\u00e9s de cortarla?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 las cebollas hacen llorar a la gente?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despl\u00e1cese hacia abajo hasta el final de esta publicaci\u00f3n y podr\u00e1 encontrar las respuestas a estas preguntas.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b> Diversi\u00f3n con pastelitos<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a1Prepare algunos pastelitos y explore las medidas, el volumen y la qu\u00edmica! Los pastelitos son una excelente introducci\u00f3n a la cocci\u00f3n simple porque requieren pocos ingredientes, son dif\u00edciles de estropear y est\u00e1n listos en minutos. Deje que su hijo\/a le ayude a medir los ingredientes. Use una taza medidora de vidrio para los l\u00edquidos y una de metal o pl\u00e1stico para la harina y el az\u00facar. Ayude a su hijo\/a a batir los ingredientes hasta que est\u00e9n suaves. Observe c\u00f3mo los pastelitos se elevan en la plancha, se vuelven m\u00e1s grandes de lo que eran originalmente, y c\u00f3mo se forman burbujas cuando los pastelitos est\u00e1n listos para voltearlos. Pregunte en voz alta y pregunte por qu\u00e9 sucede esto (pista: el polvo de hornear contiene carbonato de hidr\u00f3geno, que crea di\u00f3xido de carbono y burbujas cuando se calienta). Recuerde, deber\u00e1 medir y mezclar este conjunto de ingredientes cuatro veces para completar los cuatro experimentos.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6 cucharadas de harina<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 cucharadas de az\u00facar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 pizca de sal<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 o 3 pizcas de levadura en polvo<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cucharadas de leche<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cucharadas de aceite de cocina<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bc de cucharadita de vainilla<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2153 de huevo (rompa el huevo en una taza; b\u00e1talo hasta que se mezcle, luego use aproximadamente un tercio. Esta agua dulce es un entorno privilegiado para el crecimiento de bacterias y moho. Para conservar los alimentos, necesitamos eliminar el agua a trav\u00e9s de la deshidrataci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El secreto de las palomitas de ma\u00edz es una peque\u00f1a gota de agua contenida en el grano lleno de almid\u00f3n. Una vez que la lechuga est\u00e1 picada, se marchita porque hay m\u00e1s bordes para que escape el agua. Para refrescar la lechuga marchita, simplemente sum\u00e9rjala en un recipiente con agua helada.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las capas de una cebolla contienen un irritante llamado \u00e1cido sulf\u00farico. El corte libera el fuerte aroma del \u00e1cido.
