On May 25th, the Hub along with Casa Latinos Unidos (CLU) will be kicking off Nuestro Futuro: Collaborative Career Mentoring Program for Latinx Middle School Youth in Linn County. We are starting the program with Calapooia Middle School. If the funding for the program is renewed, we will expand it to additional schools. This program is for Latinx students that will be in 8th grade next academic year.
The kick-off event is informational and students and families will have the opportunity to meet the mentors and learn about the program around a meal. Those that are interested can enroll. Space in the program will be limited to 25 students and their families.
The program runs all next year, alternating each month between group mentorship activities and workshop-style events open to families. CLU will provide wrap-around services for Spanish-speaking families.
