For today’s #STEMCTEFridays post, we wanted to highlight a fun activity from our friends at NASA and ask you, “What’s in your NASA Moon Kit?”

This week, NASA announced the 18 astronauts (9 men and 9 women) who would be part of the Artemis mission to the moon. With the Artemis program, NASA will land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. NASA will collaborate with its commercial and international partners and establish sustainable exploration by the end of the decade. Then, they plan to use what they learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap – sending astronauts to Mars.

As NASA works on plans to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon, we want to know: What would you pack for a trip to the Moon? What can’t you leave the planet without? Is it your camera? Your drawing pad? Or maybe your musical instrument? How would you organize everything you need for your next giant leap? Show us what’s in your NASA Moon Kit with the hashtag #NASAMoonKit. Share your #NASAMoonKit image with us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. We look forward to seeing what you would take on your mission to the moon!
