Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects. Project-based learning is a great way to keep your students thinking creatively. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has published this fun project based on engineering, design, and building called Make a Cardboard Rover.

Make A Cardboard Rover

In this challenge, you will use household items to build your very own rubber-band-powered rover that can scramble across the room. Build your rover out of cardboard, figure out how to use rubber bands to spin the wheels, and use the engineering design process to improve your rover based on testing results.
