Easy Breezy Science: Exploring an Outdoor-Oriented Curriculum – Online

Format & Length: online, interactive, 5 hours (with 2-3 hours of self-paced work between sessions)

Audience: 3rd-5th grade educators, formal and nonformal; K-2 educators welcome as we will be discussing how the lessons can be adapted for multiple grades

Curriculum:  Project Learning Tree’s (PLT) Explore Your Environment: K-8 Activity Guide.

Description: Make science a breeze with an outdoor-oriented environmental curriculum. The Project Learning Tree K-8 newly revised Explore Your Environment guide works for rural to urban teaching environments and is for multiple grades. Join us as we check out Explore Your Environment (participants will receive a copy of it at no cost) and share ways that lessons can be adapted for different grades. Participants will be invited to implement a lesson between sessions.
This workshop is co-hosted by:  Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI) and Oregon Natural Resources Education Program (ONREP)

Registration required. Offered at no cost to formal and nonformal Oregon educators. PDUs available. Substitute reimbursement is available on teacher workdays.
Registration will close approximately 1 week prior to the workshop.
