Math Learning Community
Mondays July 12, 19, and 26 from 9-11 am virtual learning in real-time. (20 educators)
Designed for out-of-school educators who want to incorporate mathematical thinking into their existing activities. Participants will gain a better understanding of current K-12 mathematics education; consider how mathematical modeling could be used to solve problems relevant to the youth you serve and articulate how modeling can be used as a lever for centering equity and inclusion in math education. Includes content from Mathematics for Human Flourishing by Francis Su. Stipend: $270, plus book.
