Dodging Doom: Protecting the Planet from Perilous Asteroids

July 14, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Dodging Doom Event poster

This summer, NASA’s new planetary defense mission DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) begins its journey towards the near-Earth asteroid, Didymos, where it will attempt to alter the trajectory of the asteroid’s moon. Join us in an exploration of Earth’s history with asteroids, then take a glimpse into the future of planetary defense against possible threats and learn how you can become a defender of Earth! We’ll take questions at the end of the program through the chat. Recommended for ages 5 and up.

This is a LIVE event that will take place on YouTube. Register here to get the event link.
