Wildlife Rehabilitation with Jess Andersen

Jessica is the Rehabilitation Program Manager at the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, and is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in the state of Virginia.

In her role, she oversees the rehabilitation of the nearly 3,000 animals that come in through the Center’s doors, including foxes, eagles, opossums, turtles, frogs, and many more. Jessica has been working in wildlife rehabilitation for 7 years, starting out as an intern at the Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro, CA, then doing a year-long apprenticeship at Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation in Kendalia, TX, before finally getting her current job in Virginia, starting as a Rescue & Rehab Associate.
