Winter School’s Out Adventure

Winter might be here, but we are ready to keep learning and playing in the great outdoors! Join the CEC for our Schools Out Adventure: Winter Wildlife Survival – December 28th – 30th. During this SOA we will learn about the ways that plants and animals survive outside during the winter. Our focus will be on urban wildlife and the animals that we can see right here in our own community. Your child will investigate pelts and skulls, discover the ways in which animals prepare for or avoid the cold temperatures, and dive into the various levels of our urban ecosystem. We will not only look at how animals survive, but the ways in which plants survive as well through seed studies, creating seed bombs, and doing some cooking with winter veggies.
