WOMEN OF RESILIENCE: A PANEL DISCUSSION

March 31, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, join us for a toast and lively conversation with National Geographic Explorers who are pushing the boundaries of media, science, and social justice. In the process, they’re building resilience in themselves and in the communities they foster.

Hear from this unique group of changemakers who will share the unexpected and often overlooked realities of being women scientists and storytellers. The conversation will take us from the pages of National Geographic magazine to a boiling river in the Amazon to a modern-day portrait of more inclusive outdoor spaces.

Whitney Johnson, Director, Visuals & Immersive Experiences at National Geographic and panel moderator
Rue Mapp,
National Geographic Education Fellow and founder of Outdoor Afro
Rosa Vásquez Espinoza
, National Geographic Explorer and chemical biologist

This event is powered by National Geographic Live’s Resilience Executive Speaker Series, a special convening of the planet’s leading explorers and storytellers who, through their work, seek to inspire business leaders and teams during the largest health and economic crisis in history.
