The Bambu Lab A1 Mini is a compact desktop 3D printer that creates three-dimensional objects by depositing thin layers of melted plastic filament. It works well for prototypes, models, small replacement parts, educational manipulatives, artwork, and other custom objects. Its 180 × 180 × 180 mm build volume makes it particularly useful for smaller projects.

A digital 3D model is prepared using slicing software such as Bambu Studio, which divides the model into layers and generates instructions for the printer. The A1 Mini then heats plastic filament and deposits it through a nozzle, gradually building the object from the bottom up.

Compatible Materials

The A1 Mini uses 1.75 mm filament and is best suited for PLA, PETG, TPU, and PVA. Higher-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, and carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced polymers are not recommended.

Before You Begin

The printer's nozzle can reach 300°C, and the print bed can reach 80°C. Never touch the nozzle, heated components, or freshly printed areas until they have cooled. Keep fingers, hair, jewelry, and loose clothing away from moving components.

Make sure the build plate is correctly installed and the printer's movement area is clear before beginning a print. Do not reach into the printer while components are moving.

New to 3D printing? Start with PLA and a small, simple model to learn slicing, filament loading, build-plate preparation, and safe print removal before moving on to more complex projects.
