MILL Woodshop

Equipment in this category is used for processing wood. Some of this equipment is large and stationary, while other pieces are smaller and portable. In general, all equipment in the woodshop should be handled with care and attention to prevent injury. Eye and ear protection is required at all times while using the woodworking equipment in The MILL.

DO NOT process glass, plastic, or metal materials on electric-powered equipment. The woodshop space is currently only equipped to safely accommodate wood processing.

Safety Tests Must be Completed for the Following Pieces of Equipment:

• General Safety Test (covers band saws, jig saws, pull saw, drill press, dust collection system, and orbital sanders; must be passed to be in the shop)
• Table Saw (must be passed to use the table saw)
• Chop Saw (must be passed to use the chop saw)
• Jointer (must be passed to use the jointer)
• Planer (must be passed to use the planer)
• CNC Router – Shaper Origin (must be passed to use either the table-mounted or hand-held routers)
