The Brother Stellaire2 Innov-ís XJ2 is a CNC sewing and embroidery machine used for garment construction, quilting, decorative stitching, monogramming, and custom embroidery.
For sewing, the machine feeds fabric beneath the presser foot while the user gently steers it to keep stitches aligned. For embroidery, fabric is secured in an embroidery hoop with stabilizer, and the machine automatically stitches a selected digital design. The XJ2 offers a 9.5 × 14-inch embroidery area and supports built-in and imported designs. Users can also connect wirelessly with Brother’s Artspira app to create, edit, and transfer custom embroidery designs to the machine.
Compatible Materials
The XJ2 works with many common fabrics, including cotton, canvas, denim, felt, fleece, and knits. Different materials may require specific needles, thread, presser feet, stabilizers, or machine settings. Beginners should start with a stable, medium-weight woven fabric such as cotton.
Before You Begin
The XJ2 contains a rapidly moving needle and other moving parts. Keep fingers, hair, jewelry, and loose clothing away from the needle area while the machine is operating. Stop the machine before adjusting fabric or thread near the needle, and turn it off before changing needles or presser feet.
For embroidery, securely hoop the fabric and stabilizer and keep the area around the embroidery unit clear. Never push or pull the hoop while the machine is stitching. Stop immediately if you hear unusual noises, encounter a thread jam, or the needle strikes another object.
