The LSZ-1 is well suited for canvas, denim, upholstery fabric, vinyl, sailcloth, webbing, leather, suede, and other heavy or layered materials. The appropriate needle, thread, presser foot, and machine settings will depend on the material and project.

Before You Begin

The LSZ-1 contains a rapidly moving needle, walking foot, balance wheel, and other moving components. Keep fingers, hair, jewelry, and loose clothing away from moving parts during operation. Sailrite recommends protective eyewear when sewing.

Do not force thick materials through the machine. Stop sewing before making adjustments near the needle, presser foot, or material.

New to heavy-duty sewing? Practice on scrap material first to become familiar with the walking foot, speed control, threading, and stitch settings.
