The Husqvarna Viking Emerald 116 is a versatile sewing machine designed for everyday sewing, including garment construction, alterations, repairs, home décor, quilting, and craft projects. It offers 16 stitches with 60 stitch functions, including utility, stretch, decorative stitches, and a one-step buttonhole.

The machine feeds fabric beneath the presser foot while the user gently steers it to keep stitches aligned. Users can select the stitch type and adjust stitch length, width, thread tension, and presser-foot pressure to suit different projects.

Compatible Materials

The Emerald 116 works with many common fabrics, including cotton, linen, lightweight denim, fleece, knits, and other apparel and craft fabrics. Material type and thickness determine the appropriate needle, thread, presser foot, and machine settings.

Before You Begin

The Emerald 116 contains a rapidly moving needle and other moving components. Keep fingers, hair, jewelry, and loose clothing away from the needle area while sewing. Stop the machine before adjusting fabric or thread near the needle, and turn it off before changing needles or presser feet.

Do not pull or force fabric through the machine. Allow the feed system to move the fabric while you gently guide its direction.
