The HPN 16 × 20-inch Swing-Away Heat Press uses controlled heat and pressure to permanently apply designs to apparel and other compatible surfaces. It can be used for heat-transfer vinyl, transfer paper, sublimation, screen-printed transfers, and other heat-transfer processes. The swing-away design allows the heated upper platen to move away from the work surface while materials are positioned.

To create a project, the material and transfer are positioned on the lower platen. The machine is set to the temperature, time, and pressure required for the specific transfer and material. The heated platen is then positioned over the project and lowered to apply heat and pressure.

Compatible Materials

Depending on the transfer process, heat presses can be used with cotton, polyester, fabric blends, heat-transfer vinyl, sublimation-ready textiles, and compatible flat hard substrates. Always follow the transfer and material manufacturer's recommended temperature, pressure, and pressing time.

Before You Begin

The upper platen can reach temperatures of approximately 400°F, creating a serious burn hazard. Never touch the heated platen, and keep hands clear when closing or swinging the press.

Make sure the swing area is clear before moving the upper platen, and never leave the heat press unattended while it is powered on.
